Candace brings three years of long-term care knowledge to Unlimited Care Cottages, and has similar experience from her previous job with Creekside Retirement Facility in Huntsville, where she also served as the Assisted Living Director.
She received her certification as an Assisted Living Administrator for Texas two years ago, and got her Associate of Business degree at LoneStar College. Although originally from Louisiana (she’s a big LSU fan!), Candace has lived in Texas most of her life and has been in the Conroe area for many years now.
Candace has a love and passion for serving people, and has always felt happiness in lending a hand to others. She says getting to know her residents drives her, and is the best part of her job.
“I’ve always had a heart to serve people,” Candace said. “Any job I’ve ever had has always been in serving others.”
She also loves getting to know families, and considers it an honor to be a part of life. Candace says it’s her job to make the last little bit of time with their loved ones’ pleasing and without worry. She explains how it’s tough because she gets to know someone towards the end of their life. At the same time though, it’s rewarding to be a shoulder to lean on during that difficult time. She uses that motivation and sense of honor to deal with the grief.
“I can’t imagine doing anything else, nor do I want to do anything else,” Candace said.
We are excited to have Candace join our family at Unlimited Care Cottages. We feel she is a perfect fit with our company, and we look forward to helping you and your family in the future.
